SUMMARY:The Soap Girls - The Cave
DESCRIPTION:The Cave presents \nThe Soap Girls \nWednesday\, June 17\, 2026 $20.00 + Online Fee \n6pm Doors\, 7pm Show \nThe SoapGirls are a French-born\, South African-raised alternative rock duo consisting of sisters Noemie “Mie” Debray (guitar\, vocals) and Camille “Mille” Debray (bass\, vocals). Distinguished by their “Revolt Rock” sound and a strictly independent “DIY” ethos\, the sisters are the sole architects of their career—writing\, arranging\, and producing 100% of their musical catalogue\, management\, and visual identity themselves. \nEarly Career and Autonomy\nThe duo first gained public attention as child street performers in Cape Town\, singing and selling handmade soap to benefit local hospitals—an origin that provided both their name and their reputation for social action. Their international breakthrough occurred in 2009 with the song “Boys Boys Boys\,” which featured on a Japanese compilation disc and sparked global interest. This momentum led to a major-label contract with Universal Music South Africa and high-profile television appearances\, including performing as guest artists on Idols SA (Top 10). \nFollowing the success of their Number 1 debut album Xperience (2011) and four Top 5 singles\, the sisters made the pivotal decision to leave the major-label system to reclaim their creative voice. Since then\, they have operated entirely independently\, rejecting outside writers and producers to maintain an unfiltered artistic vision. \nCareer Milestones and Global Reach\nThe SoapGirls have built a global empire from the ground up\, known for an exhausting touring schedule that often exceeds 100 dates per year. \n\n\nMedia Impact: The band has reached a global media audience of over 200 million. They have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine\, Bass Magazine\, Classic Rock\, Guitar World\, Vive Le Rock\, and Louder Than War.\n\nTelevision & Broadcasting: In addition to their early Idols appearance\, they have been featured on Camden Live TV and numerous television programs across the UK and South Africa. Their music is a staple on BBC Radio\, Planet Rock\, and RTE.\n\nStage Highlights: They have headlined world-class venues including Womb (Tokyo)\, Melkweg (Amsterdam)\, and Camden Assembly (London). In 2025\, they headlined the Motoblot Festival in Chicago and toured as the primary support for Wednesday 13.\n\nThe Rebel DNA Era: In 2026\, the duo launched the Rebel DNA album cycle\, written and produced entirely by the sisters\, accompanied by an extensive world tour across the UK\, Europe\, Japan\, and the United States.

SUMMARY:Sqwerv - The Cave
DESCRIPTION:The Cave presents \nSqwerv \nFriday\, June 19\, 2026 7pm Doors/ 8pm Showtime \n$20.00 + Online fee \n \n \n \n \nSqwerv’s roots run deep in the Denver music scene. Those roots began to take hold as the band started hosting local open jams and playing gigs at small bars and venues in 2017. Since then\, Sqwerv has become a staple in Denver’s music scene with bands like Magic Beans\, Squeaky Feet\, Eminence Ensemble and Rado. \n \nThis four-piece Indie-Psych Rock band’s love for classic rock\, psychedelic music and improvisation creates a sound that is refreshingly original and exciting. Sqwerv realizes the importance of good songwriting and is always pushing themselves in the improvisation. The band spends a great deal of time writing lyrics\, composing\, and developing song structure that has grown into a catalogue that ranges from twelve minute prog songs inspired by Homer’s Odyssey to two minute psych songs about love. They are fiercely driven to get to those transcendent\, improvised spaces that all jam-music lovers crave. Sqwerv continues to deliver to their audiences through groove\, counterpoint\, polyrhythms and risk taking. \n \nIn the last two years the band has released two studio albums\, three live albums and completed two national tours with no plans on stopping. They have had the opportunity to open for acts like Lespecial\, Spafford\, Eggy and Big Something. They hold themselves to a rigorous tour schedule playing unique shows for their fans on a regular basis. Sqwerv leans into the dark and the beautiful while thriving off of the sounds they create and connections they make. \n \nSqwerv’s roots run deep in the Denver music scene. SUMMARY:Patrick Sweany - Sportsmens
DESCRIPTION:Sportsmens presents \nPatrick Sweany \nSunday\, July 12\, 2026 $20.00 + Online Fee \n2pm Doors\, 4pm Showtime \n \n \n \nPATRICK SWEANY – BABY\, IT’S LATEThe title of Patrick Sweany’s new record is apt for more reasons than might be readily apparent. \nFor fans\, it’s a nod to the massive amount of time between full-length albums (7 years if you are counting). For Sweany\, it’s a theme that’s permeated his latest songs (running out of time\, getting older). \nThe time in between 2018’s Ancient Noiseand Baby\, It’s Latehas been full of changes for Sweany. Difficult changes. These mile-markers and their aftermath made it challenging for Sweany to do what he’s done for over 20 years: write songs\, record songs\, get in a van and play those songs for you. \nIt wasn’t as though Sweany’s music-making simply stopped\, however. As the world opened back up after the pandemic\, Sweany resumed his Blue Monday residency at The 5 Spot in E. Nashville playing 50’s and 60’s era Blues songs with The Tiger Beats: McKinley James\, Jason Smay\, and Ted Pecchio. He also started a new Soul\, Funk project called SUPER FELONwith JD Simo\, Adam Abrashoff\, Pecchioand Robbie Crowell. Most importantly\, he started writing and recording again. \nFor the first time\, Sweany chose to do almost everything himself\, recording tracks on his Tascam 388 tape machine in his Bongo Room home studio. While the end results were not quite good enough for public consumption\, the kernels of some great new songs were started\, and a less polished\, more organic approach was established. \nSweany decided to call on the collaborators in The Tiger Beats and SUPER FELON to help him progress. Using JD Simo’s House Of Greasestudio and McKinley James’ Red Lodgestudio\, Sweany brought in players from both of these projects. \n“These guys are some of the most in-demand players in Nashville\,” says Sweany about the sessions. “They know when it’s right and when it’s not. If they felt like these songs weren’t good enough\, they’d tell me. \n”“We tracked two days live\, no headphones\, band in the room\, old school style. It felt good. It felt right. The songs sounded like songs.Back in the saddle.” \nOn top of the old-school style of recording\, Sweany chose to produce the recordings himself – something he’d never done \nThe results are a raw\, more direct collection of songs that tap directly into the pain\, tension\, and catharsis of the past seven years. Stylistically they capture elements of Sweany’s previous recordings: the raw Blues-Rock opener “My Time Ain’t Long”could be an outtake from 2008’s Every Hour Is A Dollar Gone\, while the subtle ballads “Christmas Parade”and “See Through”are reminiscent of 2015’s ruminative Daytime Turned To Nighttime. Elsewhere\, however\, Sweany embraces some new influences such as the hooky rock anthem “Golden Fields”and the 70s organ funk groove of “Trouble With Love.” \nAfter over 25 years writing\, recording and touring\, Sweany knows more than most that you can’t rush the process. You have to wait until the songs are ready. In that regard\, Baby\, It’s Never Too Late.

SUMMARY:Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets - Sportsmens Park
DESCRIPTION:Sportsmens presents \nNick Lowe & Los Straitjackets \nWednesday\, July 22\, 2026 \n$50.00 + Online Fee \n5pm Doors\, 7pm Showtime \nRain or Shine\, Bring a chair. \n \n \n \n \nPhoto credit: Dave Brolan \n \nNick Lowe \nNick Lowe has made his mark as a producer (Elvis Costello-Graham Parker-Pretenders-The Damned)\, songwriter of at least three songs you know by heart\, short-lived career as a pop star\, and a lengthy term as a musicians’ musician. But in his current ‘second act’ as a silver-haired\, tender-hearted but sharp-tongued singer-songwriter\, he has no equal. \nStarting with 1995′s ‘The Impossible Bird’ through to 2011′s ‘The Old Magic\,’ Nick has turned out a fantastic string of albums\, each one devised in his West London home\, and recorded with a core of musicians who possess the same veteran savvy. Lowe brings wit and understated excellence to every performance\, leading Ben Ratliff of the New York Times to describe his live show as “elegant and nearly devastating.” \n \nIn 2024 he released his latest record ‘Indoor Safari\,’ a collaboration with Los Straitjackets. \nLos Straitjackets \nLos Straitjackets are the leading practitioners of the lost art of the guitar instrumental. Using the music of the Ventures\, The Shadows\, and with Link Wray and Dick Dale as a jumping off point\, the band has taken their unique\, high energy brand of original rock & roll around the world. Clad in their trademark Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling masks\, the “Jackets” have delivered their trademark guitar licks to 16 albums\, thousands of concerts and dozens of films and TV shows. \n \nTheir latest album ‘Somos Los Straitjackets’ was released in 2025. “The quartet’s time-warped expertise shines through on track after track” – Shindig!
