What others are saying:

“If all were right with the world, Adam Carroll  would be the Townes Van Zandt of our age. Until that time, Adam’s talent is so rare and precious I’m reluctant to share his music. I want it all to myself.”

 – Robert Earl Keen

“Adam Carroll may be the best songwriter that Texas ever produced, and I’ll stand on Steve Earles coffee-table and say it to everybody in the room.

‘Rice Birds’ is a perfect song.”

-Jon Dee Graham

“Adam Carroll is someone i study, admire and consider a friend” – Todd Snider

“a writer who may be only 42 but is talented beyond his years” – Rolling Stone

“Carroll’s songs are genuine, poetic, literary and relatable tales of life in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma” – Pop Matters

“Influences ? .. Adam Carroll .. I used to skip my own gigs to go watch him .. by far my favorite, somebody whose writing style I emulated in some ways.” -Hayes Carll, No Depression 2011

What others are saying:

“Chris Carroll’s new recording, Trouble & Time, has so many expressions…. just like a human face. Tracks like “Mister” smirk at you while “Dreaming You Up” has a Mona Lisa smile quality to it. Each song emotes such intimate eye contact, just like her live performance, and I don’t think Chris will be the first to blink. “ –  Susan Gibson, Songwriter
